Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the pipper website (pipper.dev, including its subdomains) and the Pipper Code desktop application (together, the "Service"), operated by the pipper team. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Using the Service

You may use the Service for your own purposes, including commercial work. You agree not to misuse it: you will not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.

3. Accounts and Authentication

Certain features of the Service require you to sign in. Authentication is provided through Clerk and tied to an account you control with your chosen identity provider. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity that happens under your account.

4. Your Content

The Software runs AI coding agents that may read, write, and execute against files and codebases on your machine. That work stays local to your device and is yours. You are solely responsible for the prompts you give agents, the actions you approve, and any content or code you produce with the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

5. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Software is currently in alpha. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that agents will produce safe or correct results. You use the Service at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the pipper team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from or relating to your use of the Service — including any code, changes, or other output agents produce.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
